Meera's pov:-
I took a deep breath, my hands clammy with nervousness. This was it, the moment before everything would change.
The big brown doors opened in a slow motion , with soft bollywood music in the background.
I took my first step, my feet cold with anxiety. My brother and cousins walking beside me, their presence grounding me a little.
I took in the surroundings, my eyes taking in the vision of my family standing there, their eyes heavy with emotions.
Slowly and steadily, I walked towards the mandap, my steps heavy with anticipation. Few steps ahead and then , I couldn't climb the stairs , my lehanga acting as a hindrance in my path.
A masculine hand extended towards me, and I without embarrassing myself further, took it. We sat on the mandap, the wedding progressing further.
The chanting of priest's holy mantra resonated throughout the surroundings, the air warm with happiness and uncertainty.
The moment passed in a blur, my eyes cast downwards , the whole time . Not out of shyness but because my mind was spiralling different scenarios in my head.
I could feel his knees touching my legs, his frame slightly bigger than mine . The heat of the fire mixed with his presence fueled my anxiety.
My thoughts broke hearing the priest addressing us to stand up for the pheras. We stood up, me obviously with my friend's help and started circling around the holy fire.
I followed him slowly, my steps heavy with emotions. In the midst of the pheras, something pricked in my foot, resulting in stumbling on my clothes . I expected to fall flat on my face, but he swiftly turned around, holding me. His arms snaked around my waist, steadying my steps.
I looked upto him, my eyes locking into his. The moment barely lasted few seconds, yet it's impact etched on my mind.
Gently helping me, he turned and then slowly held my hand . His hands engulfed mine, a spark passing through my body. The warmth of his palm, acted as a stark contrast to the coldness in my bones.
Yuvraj 's pov :-
She looks ethereal. Her eyes cast downward yet pepping from time to time to observe her surrounding almost seems adorable. The deep red colour wedding attire compliments her skin tone, the colour depicting passion .
I almost couldn't look away from her when she walked down the aisle, her presence captivating. The rest of the wedding passed in seconds, my attention solely fixed on her. The way she got lost in her head sometimes, her fingers fidgeting nervously in her lap , the way she tried to steal a glance at me .
I never knew I could ever observe someone so closely . My trance broke hearing the priest gesturing me to tie the sacred chain around her neck . I picked up the chain, my grip firm , and gently tied the chain around her neck. Her eyes cast downwards, never met mine while my breath softly fanned on her cheek.
And then came the the final part, my fingers pinched a small amount of Vermillion and when I was about to fill her partition, she looked upto me . Her eyes locking into me, depicting so many emotions.
The moment I filled her partition, a tear dropped from her left eye, tracing it's path from her cheek and then getting mix with her skin. Some of the Vermillion got smudged on her nose and on instinct , I tried to wipe it off. Only to be stopped by her. She shook her head slowly, denying to wipe it.
I took back my hand and sat straight. The wedding got over and we slowly stood up, took blessings and then got a couple of photos clicked.
Fast forward, we sat down to have our dinner. It's almost morning and a small grumbling sound came from beside me. Her face turned crimson in embarrassment and a soft amused chuckle escaped my lips.
I leaned into her ear and softly whispered, "Agar aapko bhukh lagi toh , aap hame pehle bata deti. Hum kuch intezzam karwa dete . "
"Nahi hume bhukh nhi lagi. Achha mtlb lagi hai, lekin sabse pehle hum thodi hi khaa lete. Log kya kahenge." She whispered back, her voice soft.
"Toh kya hua, sabse pehle khaane me kon si burai hai. Aur rahi baat logo ki toh mai v kha leta aapke sath Mrs Ranawat. Phir kehne dijiye unhe jo kehna hai. " I said .
The Butler brought our plates and we paused our conversation. Post dinner, it was the time for our departure.
The whole wedding Hall turned emotional, their eyes heavy with emotions. She Cocooned in her parents' embrace, her shoulder shaking from continuous crying.
Her brother and father consoled her, their actions betraying the emotions visible in their eyes. Rudra 's eyes met mine and he and Meera's father started walking towards me . Meera ' s father joined his hands infront of me , his vulnerability laid bare infront of me.
I softly shook my head and uttered, " Apni jaan se v jyada khayaal rakhunga, mai inka. Ye mera wada hai aapse. "
Her sniffed , her nose red from continuous crying. I passed my handkerchief and a water bottle towards her. Giving her the space, she needed, I chose to stay silent.
I won't just reassure her with my words instead my actions would act as a testimony of my words.

Hey guys, new chapter is out!! I know I am late but honestly speaking I got stuck in some family issues and was unable to write even a single word. But don't worry, the compensation regarding the delay would soon be there. So just hang in until then.
